The Antonov An-32 Cline is virtually a re-engined An-26. The An-32 has engines which are almost twice as powerful as the ones fitted in the An-26, while the airscrews are also larger than the ones of the standard Curl. The An-32 was specifically designed to operate in harsher weather conditions, as well as in mountaineous and tropical areas.

An-32 has since then been exported to several countries, including Afghanistan, Angola, Armenia, Bangladesh, Colombia, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Iraq, Mexico, Mongolia, Peru, Sri Lanka and Tanzania. The manufacturing country (Ukraine) also has it in its air force, while the primary export customer was India. Croatia was the last country to purchase the An-32 (2 in active service).
